Cookie Policy

Effective date · September 4, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Scott Global Machinery, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on www.scottglobalmachinery.com (the “Site”), and how you can control them. This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy and should be read together with it.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and collect information about how the site is used. “Similar technologies” include pixels, tags, and local storage that function in comparable ways.

4. Cookies We Currently Use

Cookie Name Provider Category Purpose Duration
_ga Google Analytics Analytics Distinguishes unique visitors 2 years
_ga_[container-id] Google Analytics Analytics Persists session state for Google Analytics 4 2 years
_gid Google Analytics Analytics Distinguishes visitors for a 24-hour period 24 hours

Note: This table reflects the cookies currently deployed on the Site. It will be updated whenever a new tool, plugin, or third-party script that sets cookies is added (for example, a chat widget or an advertising pixel).

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are placed by third parties whose services are embedded in the Site, rather than by us directly. We currently use:

We do not currently use advertising or social media cookies. If that changes, this policy and the cookie table in Section 4 will be updated before any new cookie is deployed, and returning visitors will be re-prompted for consent regarding the new category.

6. How to Manage or Withdraw Cookies

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time in three ways:

  • Cookie Preferences link — available in the Site footer, letting you change your category choices at any time;
  • Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings menu (this may affect functionality on this and other websites);
  • Opt-out tools — such as the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked in Section 5.

If you reject or later withdraw consent for Analytics or Functional cookies, we will stop collecting that data going forward, though this does not delete data already collected prior to your withdrawal.
